Karachi:Administrator DMC South Dr Afshan Rubab Syed has said that all the necessary arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr have been finalized to facilitate the citizens on all days of Eidul Fitr, so that the are able to celebrate the Eid with traditional zeal and fervor.

Addressing the meeting of concerned officials in connection with Eid arrangements, the administration of DMC South, said that all concerned officials and staff have been called on duties on all three days of Eid so they can work to providing all venues of Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, mosques, Imam Bargahs and adjacent roads with the best possible facilities on Eid-ul-Fitr.

She directed the officials that they should work with utmost honesty and should not show any negligence in performing their duties during Eid days so that citizens can focus on celebrations of Eid.

“I myself will pay surprise visits to areas to inspect the work for myself”, she added.
Municipal Commissioner Akhtar Ali Shaikh, SE Iqbal Dahri and other officials attended the meeting.
Municipal Commissioner Akhtar Ali Shaikh said that KWSB concerned officials have been asked to concentrate on their duties and make sure that water does not stand on the routes to paces of Eid prayers and on the roads.

Sheikh asked the KWSB officials to work in collaboration with DMC South to meet any emergent situation.

The meeting was told that elaborate light, cleanliness and other arrangements have been made around mosques, Imam Bargahs, places of Eid prayers and graveyards to facilitate the citizens. Meanwhile, the DMC South has paid the April salaries to the staff, who are grateful to the DMC South administration i.e., Administrator Dr Afshan and MC Akhtar Ali Shaikh, for ensuring timely payment of their salaries.
