LARKANA: A seven-year-old boy Gulzar son of Farooq Suhag was critically injured when a stray dog bit him in the face in his ancestral Taib village near Ratodero on Wednesday.

He was rushed to ARV Vaccination Centre of the Chandka Medical College Hospital as emergency treatment facilities are not even available at Ratodero Taluka Headquarter Hospital. The victim was provided anti-rabies vaccine and his wounds were dressed by the CMCH doctors who further advised his poverty-stricken father to take his son to Karachi for further treatment and management.

His father Farooq Suhag told newsmen that his son was walking from the street of their home in the village when suddenly a stray dog attacked his son in the face and injured him seriously. He said that doctors have administered injection ARV and further advised him to go to Karachi for further treatment due to his worrisome condition.

He said he is a very poor labourer, can’t even afford two meals hence cannot afford costly treatment at Karachi in this massive inflation era. He urged higher Sindh government authorities to get his son treated at Karachi and earn blessings of the family members.
