Islamabad, March 30, 2020 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), Dr Fehmida Mirza announced to create fund to cover all medical expenses of sportspersons infected with COVID19* The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 199 countries and territories around the world including Pakistan. Due to the coronavirus all type of activities including the sporting activities have been brought to still stand. The Federal Government and Provincial Governments are fighting against the coronavirus actively. Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC)/President, Pakistan Sports Board has stated that the Ministry of IPC and the PSB are committed towards playing its due role in this critical situation.
The Federal Minister for IPC announced to create fund to cover medical treatment expenses of the infected sportspersons from COVID-19. Moreover, Dr. Fehmida Mirza has directed the medical and rehabilitation staff of PSB to be available to help out the coronavirus infected sportspersons. She also directed to upload videos on social media i.e. facebook, twitter and teleservices, related to prevention against coronavirus and other health issues pertaining to sportspersons.
Dr. Fehmida Mirza has emphasized to adhere to the guidelines issued by the Government like observance of social distancing, washing hands, improve immune system etc. Keep doing exercise at home because exercise makes the body sound and sound body has more resistance power to fight against the virus.
