Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on health, Dr. Zafar Mirza has directed to speed up efforts for the eradication of polio from the country.
He was chairing a meeting of Polio Emergency Operation Cell in Islamabad on Tuesday.
The meeting was briefed on the polio campaign to be started from 4th of the next month.
He said reservations of the people who are against the use of polio vaccine should be addressed on priority basis.
Canadian High Commission, UNICEF and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s representatives were also present in the meeting.
