Renowned scholar Dr Zakir Naik attended the seventh Itehad Ramzan Iftar/Dinner at Governor House as a special guest, where he conducted a lucky draw for an Umrah ticket and a 120-yard residential plot.

According to a statement by Sindh Governor House today, Tessori welcomed Dr. Zakir Naik and acknowledged his presence as an honor for the occasion. He shared that Dr. Naik, upon request, offered special prayers for the oppressed Muslims of Indian-occupied Kashmir.

A large number of citizens and university students from institutions such as NED, Habib, UIT, KIET, and Metropolitan University participated in the event. The Governor personally greeted the students and guests upon arrival, engaging with them and listening to their concerns. Many attendees took selfies with him, while students expressed that sharing Iftar with the Governor was a memorable experience.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Zakir Naik emphasized the significance of worship during Ramazan, reminding participants that acts of charity in this holy month are rewarded 700 times.

Following his address, Dr. Zakir Naik conducted the lucky draw. Muhammad Shahid, son of Abdul Rasheed, won the Umrah ticket and expressed gratitude, stating that performing Umrah had been a lifelong wish. The 120-yard plot was awarded to Maria Afaq Ahmed, who shared that she had been struggling to find a rented house and now owned a piece of land.

Additionally, cash prizes were distributed among participants through further lucky draws.
