ISLAMABAD: After getting the funds for conducting elections from the government, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday announced the schedule of the polls in Punjab.

 

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP announced that the elections in Punjab will be held on Thursday, April 30. As per the schedule, candidates can submit their nomination papers from March 12 to 14 in the concerned office of the ECP.

 

As per the notification, the candidates will file their nomination papers to Returning Officer from March 12 to 14 and initial lists of nominated candidates will be published on March 15. Applications against the nomination papers of any candidate could be submitted by March 27 and the Appellate Tribunal will decide the appeals on April 03.

 

On April 04, a revised list of candidates will be published and the last date for withdrawal of candidature and publication of a revised list of candidates will be issued on April 05. The election symbols will be allotted to the contesting candidates on April 06 and the polling will be held on Thursday, April 30.
