Domestic production of cooking oil during 11 months of fiscal year 2017-18 heightened by 20.65 percent in the country, whereas, vegetable ghee decreased by 0.40 percent as compared to the corresponding period last year 2016-17.
According to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics during the period from July-May 2017-18, domestic production of vegetable ghee was recorded at 1.116 million tons, which stood at 1.171 million tons in the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, domestic production of cooking oil grew by 20.65 percent and it was recorded at 429,652 metric tons as against the 356,120 tons of same period of last year.
