(Education): Dr Shah Ali elected as KUTS president

Karachi:Annual Elections of KUTS 2020- 21 were held and Professor Dr Shah Ali Ul Qader was elected as President.

 

According to the results of Karachi University Teachers’ Society Annual Elections 2020-21, Professor Dr Shah Ali Ul Qader from Teachers’ Alliance for Good Governance got elected as the President KUTS by securing 325 votes while Professor Dr Solaha Rahman of Karachi University Teachers Forum received 283 votes.

 

Meanwhile, Professor Dr Muhammad Harris of KUTF become Vice President and collected 317 votes whereas Dr Muhammad Zubair of TAGG managed to get 296 votes. Dr Mohsin Ali of TAGG received 350 votes and elected as the Secretary while Dr Muhammad Moiz Khan from KUTF managed to get 262 votes.

 

Dr Atteeq Razzak from TAGG bagged 324 votes and elected as the Treasure while Dr S.M. Khalid Jamal of KUTF received 277 votes. Dr Asad Khan Tanoli of TAGG bagged 319, and Dr Muhammad Ali also from TAGG received 399 votes and both of them were elected as the Joint Secretary KUTS whereas Dr Sana Khan of KUTF got 212 votes and KUTF’s another candidate Dr Uzma Ashiq received 248 votes.

 

The KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi and the former President KUTS Professor Dr Anila Amber Malik congratulated the newly elected president and the office bearers of the KUTS.
