Efforts are under way to increase trade with Canada: Minister for Commerce

Karachi, February 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): Minster for Commerce, Muhammad Pervaiz Malik has said that the efforts are under way to increase trade with Canada. Speaking at a reception hosted by consul general of Pakistan in Toronto Imran Ahmed Siddiqui the minster assured business community that he will apprise Canadian government about problems faced by business community in obtaining Canadian visa. Getting visa easily will help promote two way trades.

He said that his visit remain successful and invited Canadian to invest in Pakistan agriculture and other sectors. The minister said that Canadian import of agriculture products is around 60 crore Canadian dollars. We want Canadian cooperation in agriculture sector, cooperation in agri research, technology and other areas.

Former President FPCCI, S.M. Munir said that the private sector playing important role in promotion two way trade between Canada and Pakistan. He also prays services of Pakistan consulate in Toronto in prompting Pak trade. Navaid Bukhari (Chairman UBG, Canada Chapter), Samir Dossal (President CPBC), Noor Ahmed Khan, Mehboob Shaikh also present in the meeting.
