ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader and Member of the National Assembly Ehsanullah Reki took oath as Minister of State here in Islamabad on Monday.
President Dr Arif Alvi administered the oath. On the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, President Dr Arif Alvi had approved the appointment of Ehsanullah Reki as Minister of State, bringing the number of federal cabinet members to 56.
Balochistan Awami Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) and other political parties are allies of the current Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government which conditionally supports the PML-N.
Recently, the MQM (Pakistan) had complained to the leading parties of the coalition government, including the PML-N and the PPP that the agreement reached with MQM-P was not being observed.
