Eight Indian policemen injured in Pulwama attack

Srinagar, January 20, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, eight Indian policemen including an officer were injured in a grenade attack in Pulwama town. An official said that unknown persons lobbed a grenade at Pulwama police station. He said that the grenade exploded with a bang outside the police station, leaving eight policemen including an officer of 18-battalion of Indian Reserve Police injured.

The injured were shifted to district hospital Pulwama. However, two of them including the officer were later referred to a Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment. Many private vehicles were also damaged in the blast, which triggered panic in the area. The Indian forces’ cordoned off the area soon after the explosion and launched a siege and search operation to nab the attackers.
