Elderly couple from Multan thanks Chief Minister Punjab for providing justice

Lahore, January 05, 2018 (PPI-OT):An elderly couple from Multan that was subjected to police torture earlier met with the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at Model Town, today. Muhammad Idrees along with his wife Nasim Bibi and daughter Madiha thanked the Chief Minister for solving their 30 years old issue and said that they are thankful to the Chief Minister from the core of their hearts. Nasim Bibi said that the issue pertaining to their land has been solved and they are happy over it.

The Chief Minister has won our hearts by announcing financial aid for the marriage of my two daughters, she added. The Chief Minister has emerged as a strong support to our hapless family to provide justice to us. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that providing solution to their problem was his duty which has been amicably settled and he is happy that the long-awaited issue has been solved at last.

I had promised to you that justice will be ensured and now the problem has been settled in accordance with the law. The Chief Minister also announced five lakh rupees for each daughter as financial grant for their marriages of the elderly couple. Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Livestock and other officials were also present on the occasion while Commissioner and RPO Multan Division attended the meeting through video link.
