Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan leader and MPA Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman today strongly condemned the labeling of missing persons as terrorists after their deaths, stating that the issue of enforced disappearances remains a major crisis in the province.

Addressing a press conference at the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) protest camp, Rehman, who also leads Haq Du Tehreek Balochistan, highlighted the increasing protests by women across the region, demanding the recovery of the missing persons.

He vowed to engage tribal chiefs, political leaders, and representatives from trade unions to ensure that the issue is brought to the forefront of political discourse.

“Unity across Balochistan is essential if we are to address this critical issue,” said Rehman, adding that if the rulers’ children were forcibly disappeared, they too would understand the pain of the families affected.

Vice Chairman, Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Mama Qadeer Baloch, in his remarks, provided a stark picture of the scale of the problem about missing persons. He urged those seeking detailed information to visit the VBMP camp, where data on the missing persons is available.

The plight of the missing persons, according to both leaders, is the most significant issue facing Balochistan today.
