Engro completes Million-Trees in Thar campaign

QUETTA:Subae Quomi Jirga Balochistan announced to observe shutter down strike on June 10 and simultaneously to stage protest demonstrations outside Press Clubs of Quetta, Kalat and Pishin on the same day in support of its demands. Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Friday, Muhammad Yousaf Khan Kakar, leader of Subae Quomi Jirga, Balochistan demanded of the authorities to take action against land mafia involved in grabbing the lands of native tribes of District Quetta, transfer biased staff of Settlement Office, Quetta and withdraw petition filed before the Supreme Court of Pakistan against the verdict of Larger Bench of Balochistan High Court regarding settlement of lands of native tribes in Balochistan.

Kakar added that different groups of land mafia in cooperation with staff of Settlement Office, Quetta were trying to grab the lands of native tribes in different areas of District Quetta including Sariab, Kirani Saadat, Hanna Urak, Sragurgae, Nawa Killi, Chasma Achuzai, Aghburg, Nuhsar, Kuchlak and Malazai, but instead of taking action against land mafia, authorities of concerned police stations were lodging cases against owners of lands and local Zamindars. Speaking on the occasion, Haji Mir Lashkari Raisani said that the incumbent provincial government was not taking interest to address the problem being faced by native tribes of Balochistan. On the occasion, Haji Abdul Rehman Bazai, Hazrat Afghan, Malik Abdul Majeed Kakar, Malik Baz Muhammad Khan Bazai, Malik Abdul Qayyum Shahwani, Haji Maqsood, Riaz Malazai, Professor Hanif Bazai, Dr. Sala-ud-Din and others were also present.
