A significant shift towards accountability was indicated in a high-level meeting of the Food Department, presided over by Provincial Minister for Food Makhdoom Mehboob-uz-Zaman. During the meeting, Minister Mehboob-uz-Zaman emphasized that corruption will not be tolerated and strict attendance policies will be implemented for all department staff.

Food Secretary Muhammad Bachal Rahupoto presented a review of the department’s performance, while Director General Sindh Food Shehzad Fazal Abbasi highlighted the ongoing efforts against the adulteration mafia. Abbasi assured that these efforts will be intensified, along with expediting the registration process for hotels.
