Islamabad, August 09, 2021 (PPI-OT):President Dr Arif Alvi has said use of Electronic Voting Machines in elections will help bring transparency in the polling process, end rigging, and compile election results well in time. He expressed these views while taking a briefing from Minister of Science and Technology Syed Shibli Faraz on EVMs in Islamabad today (Monday).
After witnessing the practical demonstration of EVM the President said that EVM will not affect secrecy of voters in anyway. Syed Shibli Faraz apprised the President that EVM has completely been prepared locally in Pakistan in a record time. He said EVM is effective, reliable, and can be used again.
