KARACHI: An excise police team nabbed three drug peddlers and seized 26 kg hashish from their possession near Jacobabad on Wednesday.
According to an excise department information, a team of Excise Department Jacobabad, led by Excise and Taxation Officer Ali Gohar Sehto, seized a suspicious Mazda truck No. NAE-900 at check post near Agricultural College Shikarpur Road and recovered 26 kg hashish from its hidden compartments. The team also arrested three accused Mehboob Khan, Sher Muhammad and Muhammad Shafiq have been arrested,
A case has been registered against them and an investigation launched. A Mazda truck used in the incident has also been impounded.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla has congratulated the raiding team on the successful operation and said that drug dealers do not deserve any concession and they must be taken to task.
