In an effort to invigorate the local economy, the Sindh government today announced the lifting of closing times imposed on various businesses such as shops, markets, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, food outlets, wedding halls, and marquees.
Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon disclosed that these businesses are now free to operate according to their usual schedule, without the constraints of any previous restrictions. This change comes after the implementation of energy-saving and austerity policies that determined closing times.
This decision was made after a thorough review of the feedback and difficulties highlighted by traders and industrialists. The aim of the Sindh government is to ensure that business activities continue smoothly and without interruption.
Minister Memon highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting business activities, enhancing urban convenience, and maintaining economic stability. He emphasized that these decisions are made by guiding public interest and their feedback.
Acknowledging the significant contribution of the business community to the national economy, Minister Memon assured ongoing efforts to resolve their issues. Despite challenging economic conditions, the Sindh government is committed to protecting the interests of both the public and the business sector.
This policy change is expected to support economic growth, create employment opportunities, and facilitate business activities, thereby contributing to a robust economic structure in the region.
