Farooq Rehmani condemns Imtiaz Shah’s continued detention

Islamabad, February 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has strongly condemned the arrest of party’s Chief Organiser, Imtiaz Ahmed Shah, and Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement leader, Molvi Bashir Ahmed, and other members of APHC delegation en route to Trehgam on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Muhammad Maqbool Butt on February 11.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian rulers and their agents were stoking communal discard and sowing seeds of religious fanaticism not only in India but also in occupied Kashmir to obstruct road to a peaceful and just resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

He warned that by India’s inflammatory assertions and steps including provocative firing along the Line of Control on the inhabitants of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, New Delhi would be held responsible and had to pay the price for military aggression and adventurism. He demanded immediate release of all illegally detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails.
