FATA students demand opening of all educational institutions

Peshawar: Fata Students Federation has demanded of the government to take tangible steps for reconstruction of destroyed educational institutions in tribal areas besides providing all basic facilities to the students.

They said establishment of Fata University and extension of political party’s act to were some of the positive steps towards the development of tribal region however they said medical and engineering colleges should also be established.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Muhammad Hussain Azad, president of FSF Khyber agency said education had been playing a role of back bone in the development and peace but in Fata the development could not be done due to lack of education.

They appealed to the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to reopen all the closed educational institutions and release the salaries to the teachers.

they also demanded hiring of building on rent for colleges, schools and hospitals to save the valuable time of students and people.

Flanked by Bahadar Wazir, Khalil Ullah Mohmand, Roohullah Mohmand, Farman Ullah and Pir Muhammad, he said that tribal people were passing through a difficult situation and it was need of the hour to take solid steps for the development of Fata.

They also urged for increase of quota for the students of Fata in educational institutions besides their annual scholarship should also be increased.
