Sindh Minister for Energy, Planning and Development Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, while announcing the completion of 1450 development projects in Sindh, termed it a feat accomplished only by the Sindh government. He criticized the federal government for not starting any major project in Karachi since 2013 and, conversely, mentioned former mayor Mustafa Kamal’s acknowledgment that Asif Ali Zardari had provided record funds for the city’s development.

Nasir Hussain Shah, emphasizing Karachi’s important role in Pakistan’s economy, expressed regret over the insufficient attention given to the city. He mentioned the city’s growing population and reiterated the Sindh government’s commitment to serving the entire province in accordance with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision. The minister said that thanks to the Sindh Chief Minister, major infrastructure projects for Karachi will be launched in the next financial year.

The minister attributed the PPP’s growing popularity to public service and expressed hope for success in the 2029 elections. He also criticized the federal government’s solar tax and advocated for its elimination.

Nasir Hussain Shah responded to public concerns about K-Electric’s excessive bills and unannounced load shedding, in addition to similar issues with HESCO and SEPCO. He assured the citizens that the Sindh government is actively working to resolve these issues.
