QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, has said that the federal government had reflected development projects of the province in the federal PSDP, but funds for the development projects reflected in the federal PSDP were not released, making people of the province believe that funds had been embezzled.
These views were expressed by him while addressing the progress review meeting of the provincial Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) here on Tuesday. He said that the issue regarding release of funds for the development projects of federal PSDP had been brought into the notice of federal Ministers Ehsan Iqbal and Ishaq Dar by the Senior Minister for Planning and Development Department, Balochistan and Minister for Finance, Balochistan, but funds for those development projects had not yet been released.
Bizenjo said that for safeguarding the constitutional rights of the province, all constitutional and legal methods would be adopted. Briefing the meeting, Secretary Finance, Qambar Ali Dashti said that total estimated cost of the ongoing development schemes in the province reflected in the federal PSDP were Rs. 103 million, but the federal government had so far released Rs.31 million. Meeting was attended, inter alia, by Chief Secretary, Balochistan, Abdul Aziz Uqaili.
