Islamabad, November 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): A high level meeting was chaired by Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for IT and Telecom in Islamabad for collaboration amongst Federal and Provincial IT departments for efficient public service delivery. Representatives from AJK IT Board, Government of Sindh and Government of Balochistan along with the senior officials from Ministry of IT were present in the session. Federal Minister highlighted the importance of a National collaborative approach between the leading provincial IT boards and departments and the Federal Ministry of IT and Telecom.
He further emphasized that to deliver agenda of good governance and prosperous Digital Pakistan, best practice must be shared and made available to all government exchequer and expedite the service delivery via digital channels. Representative of the Provincial IT Boards and Departments highly appreciated the fact that a sincere effort has been made on part of the Federal Minister where a platform is being provided for the very first time to promote sharing of ideas and learning from the experience of one another. It was also decided that the forum will meet on regular basis and recommend its findings to the recently constituted PM’s taskforce on IT and Telecom as well.
