Islamabad, April 03, 2020 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Makhdum Khusro Bakhtyar took notice of a video being circulated on social media wherein it has been alleged that New Punjab Flour Mill is selling substandard flour in Punjab. Taking prompt action, the Federal Minister directed Federal Secretary Industry and Production and Secretary Food Punjab to immediately launch an inquiry into the matter and submit its report.
The Minister said that sufficient quality wheat stock is available in the country and no one will be allowed to compromise the health of people by selling substandard flour in the market. He stated that the Government is taking all possible measures to ensure uninterrupted supply of food chains in the country.
