LAHORE:Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi said Saturday that female PTI workers and supporters who had attacked military installations and memorials of the martyrs on May 9 deserved no mercy. At the same time, however, the chief minister has ordered that PTI women should not be unnecessarily harassed. Naqvi has also directed that it should be ensured that female police officers should accompany the police teams sent to arrest them. “They should also be kept at women police stations,” he has directed.

Over 500 female PTI workers and supporters are wanted by police in connection with 138 cases registered following incidents of vandalism and arson that took place on May 9. Violent mobs had stormed military installations as well as memorials of martyrs besides other important buildings following the arrest of former prime minister and PTI Chief Imran Khan on May 9.
