SIBI: Five personnel of security forces, including one police official, were killed while 25 others, including civilians, sustained injuries after bomb exploded in Jail Road near the rest house of Local Government Department in Sibbi area of Balochistan province on Tuesday.

 

According to police, bomb exploded near the rest house of Local Government Department on Jail road area of district Sibbi, resultantly, four personnel of Frontier Corps (FC), Balochistan and one police official, were killed and 25 others, including civilian, sustained injuries. After the blast, security forces cordoned off the area and started shifting bodies and injured to Civil Hospital, Sibbi and Combined Military Hospital, Sibbi for completion of codal formalities and treatment, respectively.

 

Among the dead included Havaldar Lateef, Naik Waheed, Sepoy Jalil, Sepoy Aftab and Sepoy Habibullah while among the injured included Subedar Saifullah (FC), Sepoy Samiullah (FC), Sepoy Sadaqat Ali (FC), Sepoy Nazakat Ali (FC), Sepoy Rahim, Inspector Abdul Rashid (Police), Sub Inspector Barakat Ali (Police), Sub Inspector Nasrullah (Police), constable Muhammad Hanif (Police), ASI Palawan (Police), constable Imran (Police), constable Subtain (Police), sepoy Hidayat (police), sepoy Munawar (Police), sepoy Samiullah (Police), Saleem (civilian), Ranjun Khan (civilian) and Abdul Hameed son of Ghazai.

 

Condemning the bomb blast, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said that terrorists tried to sabotage the historical Sibbi festival.
