The city government has expedited preparations to host the city’s largest Eid-ul-Adha congregation at Polo Ground, where diplomats from Islamic countries, federal and provincial ministers, Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza, and others notables will offer Eid prayers on Saturday.
The congregation is esteemed for its scale and significance in the region under the auspices of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).
This event will take place at 8:00 AM with the promise of providing attendees with every possible amenity to ensure a spiritually fulfilling experience. In a bid to ensure seamless security, scanners have been strategically positioned at all entry and exit points. Special emphasis is being placed on providing essential facilities such as water for ablution, maintaining cleanliness, and using fragrance sprays and disinfectants at the venue. The entrances are being adorned to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the gathering.
Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Salimi, the Khatib of the KMC’s Jamia Mosque, will lead the Eid prayer. The traffic police have devised a structured plan to facilitate smooth traffic movement, preventing any disruption for the attendees. Designated parking spaces have also been arranged to accommodate the influx of vehicles.
Mayor Wahab has urged the public to arrive well in advance and cooperate with the security personnel to ensure the event is conducted in a serene and harmonious atmosphere. This collective act of worship aims to uphold the tradition of unity and peace among the community members.
