New York, September 29, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met the Foreign Minister of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Ziyad, today on the margins of the UNGA. The Foreign Minister recalled the successful visit of the Prime Minister to the UAE on 19 September and his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Ziyad, the Crown Prince which was marked by their decision to take bilateral relations to next level.
To this end, both sides agreed to hold the Joint Ministerial Commission meeting in the near future. The Foreign Minister raised with his counterpart the need to provide more opportunities to Pakistanis in the UAE economy and to benefit from skilled and professional human resource. The Foreign Minister highlighted the investment and economic opportunities in Pakistan and invited UAE corporate sector to benefit from them. The Foreign Minister also raised the issue of Pakistanis who have been sentenced on petty offenses for their remission and repatriation to Pakistan.
