Azerbaijan has experienced a five per cent downturn in tourist arrivals during the initial eleven months of 2025 when compared to the corresponding period in the previous year, according to new figures.

Data provided by the State Tourism Agency shows a total of 2,364,251 foreign nationals visited the country from January through November 2025. This marks a decrease from the 2,412,160 visitors recorded during the same timeframe in 2024, according to a report today.

Despite the overall reduction in visitor numbers, Russia maintained its position as the primary source of tourism, contributing 573,067 arrivals over the eleven-month period.

Trkiye was the second-largest source market with 416,689 tourists, while Iran ranked third with 190,504 visitors.

The list of the top ten nations also included a substantial number of arrivals from India (151,574), Georgia (101,142), and Saudi Arabia (99,196).

Rounding out the top contributors were Kazakhstan (95,952), Pakistan (81,952), China (60,636), and Israel (59,917).
