A tragic incident occurred near Pangrio Mori village near Sakrand within the jurisdiction of Panhal Khan Chandio Police Station, where four people lost their lives, and three others were left in critical condition after consuming homemade liquor on Monday.
According to police and hospital sources, the health of seven persons turned worst due to consuming the liquor, following which they were rushed to Taluka Hospital Sakrand for treatment. After first aid, they were brought to PMC Hospital Nawabshah in critical condition, where four of them died.
The deceased were identified as Mor Khoso, Abdul Salam Chandio, and Mushtaq Jokhio and one other from Khoso clan. The tragedy has sparked calls for immediate investigation and measures to curb the sale of illicit liquor. The area people urged the authorities to launch awareness campaigns about the lethal effects of consuming unregulated and unsafe alcohol.
This incident highlights the dire need for stringent action against the production and distribution of homemade liquor to save people’s lives.
