Four-member delegation of Embassy of Japan in Islamabad call on Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar, October 25, 2018 (PPI-OT): The delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Mission Yusuke Shindo and accompanied by First Secretary Kimitaka Tsuha, Honorary Consul General of Japan Nawabzada Fazal Karim Afridi and Chief Security Advisor Imtiaz Ahmad Kakar. They discussed matters of mutual interest particularly policing in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in detail. The IGP briefed the members of the delegation about police performance in the war against terror and crime control in the province in detail. They were told that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police and other Law Enforcing Agencies have close coordination and enjoying excellent working relationship and both are fighting shoulder to shoulder against terrorist with zest and spirit.

The delegation was informed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was fighting this war as front line force and giving unprecedented matching response to every incident with gallantry acts in professional manner. The IGP informed the participants that all dens of hardcore terrorists have already been smashed in the province. The IGP further went on to say that despite limited resources and lack of modern equipments the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police kept continue fighting against terrorists and side by side mould police force to Para-military force.

Moreover police force have been equipped with all modern gadgetries including DNA test and other technical facilities. Referring to the fighting spirit of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police the IGP told the delegation that the moral of the cops was touching its highest level as every fallen COP was replaced by another COP of the force with more professional zeal and spirit. They were also briefed about opening of tourist policing venue in Chitral, Malakand and Hazara.

The IGP informed on this occasion that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police was known for its bravery and velour and was ready to provide fool proof security to all foreigners, tourists and foreign investors. The leader of the delegation said on this occasion that his background was also from the police and considered police as the key component to peace in Pakistan.

Members of the delegation admired the bravery and matchless sacrifices of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police in the ongoing war against terror and assured their full support and cooperation to the Khyber police to meet the impending challenges in a befitting manner. The IGP presented a souvenior and police shield to the delegation as a token good well gesture to be remembered.
