Four men, including two security guards and two coal mines workers, were shot and injured by unidentified assailants in Sardar Mir Usman Tarin coal mines area of Duki in Balochistan province in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to Duki police, unidentified assailants opened fire on coal mine workers when they were asleep in mosquito nets in Sardar Mir Usman Tarin coal mine area of Duki.
As a result, two security guards namely Ibrar, son of Malak Nasrullah, Janu, son of Raz Muhammad, and two coal mine workers Liaquat Ali, son of Bashir Ahmed, and Aqil Khan, resident of Shangla area of Khyber Pushtunkhwa sustained injuries.
The injured were rushed to Duki hospital where after providing initial treatment, the injured were referred to Loralai for further treatment. Before escaping, the assailants threatened the injured mines works not to start work in coal mines. Further investigation is being conducted by the authorities of Duki police.
