Pakistan Meteorological Department said today that mainly cold and dry weather is forecast for most plain areas of the country on Wednesday, with very cold conditions expected in hilly areas during the night. Gusty winds are anticipated in most regions in the afternoon.

On Thursday, the weather will remain cold and dry across most parts, with very cold temperatures in hilly areas during the morning and night. Gusty winds will continue in the afternoon, while moderate to dense fog in patches is likely to persist in northeastern Punjab during the morning hours. Frost is expected in a few areas, including Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, and upper Punjab.

Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country, with very cold conditions in hilly areas. Fog persisted in eastern Punjab.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded today were: Leh at -13°C, Kalam at -9°C, Gupis at -8°C, Kalat and Skardu at -7°C, Quetta at -6°C, and Drosh, Chitral, Gilgit, and Parachinar at -3°C.
