General election: Kashmiris will cast votes in Umerkot


UMERKOT: Kashmiri people will also cast their votes in Umerkot to participate in the general elections to the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly to be held on July 25, 2021.

One hundred and twenty five Kashmiri voters from Umerkot district will cast their votes in the general elections. In this regard, Election Commission of Pakistan has finalized all the arrangements in Kunri taluka.

An election booth has also been set up at the polling station for male voters and another booth for female voters. Kashmiris will cast their votes for LA-40 constituency of Azad Kashmir. The main contestants are Riaz Ahmad of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Zaid Iqbal of Pakistan Peoples Party and Nasir Hussain Dar of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has made strict security arrangements on the day for the polling. Candidates have been active in garnering support votes.
