KARACHI: Rasul Bux Palijo was a Marxi and Lennani leader of suffering poor people who still continue to lead nationalist movement through his visionary thoughts.
This was stated by Dr. Zulfiqar Rahujo while addressing a gathering held at Noor Colony on Tuesday to observe third anniversary of great nationalist leader Rasul Bux Palijo, founder of Awami Tahreek, writer, scholar, advocate and researcher. Lawyer Sajid Mahesar said that Palijo was a great leader of Sindh’s past, present and future history who gave scientific way to get rid of tyrannies. He urged the youth to go through his books.
Mehran Sindhi said that Palijo stood like a rock against dictatorship, highhandedness and remained in jail for 12 years in Sindh and Punjab. He was a scientist of struggle and movement, he added. He was a leader of oppressed masses, he added.
Zulfiqar Rajpar said that Palijo had exposed hidden hands of government who were behind terrorists in Sindh’s cities, Sardars of rural areas, tribal terrorism and bandits. Ali Hassan Wako said Palijo prepared theft of water case by Punjab which will continue to guide the people till proper share is not given to Sindh.
Advocate Zulfiqar Mirani, Fazul Rahujo and others said that Rasul Bux Palijo was a true nationalist leader who will continue to guide all through his teachings for seeking rights in modern ways of struggles.
