Glowing tributes paid to Zakir Musa in IOK

Srinagar, May 24, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, and other Hurriyat leaders and organisatons have paid rich tributes to prominent martyred mujahid commander, Zakir Musa.

Indian troops martyred Zakir Musa along with his associate during a cordon and search operation in Dadsara Tral area of Pulwama district, last evening.

Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said that despite highly educated and an engineering student, Zakir Musa stood for the freedom movement of Kashmir. His sacrifice infused a high spirit in ongoing movement in Kashmir, he added.

Hailing his invaluable and exemplary sacrifices for freedom movement in Kashmir, Ashraf Sehrai said that he stood firm for Islam and never followed any sectarian ideology instead pursued a mission to see the glorification of Islam in Kashmir.

“I salute to this legend”, Sehrai said and added that despite a budding youth and highly educated, Zakir Musa proved a mature and dedicated warrior, saying, “We are committed to the mission for whom he and his associate sacrificed their lives.”

Ashraf Sehrai also expressed deep shock over gruesome murder of Zahoor Ahmad, brother of active mujahid, Irfan Ahmad.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Vice Chairman, Syed Aijaz Rehmani and General Secretary, Nisar Ahmad Rather in a joint statement reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the martyrs’ mission. They also denounced the naked use of military might by India to suppress the voice of the Kashmiri people.

The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Dar and Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Imtiaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Nabi Waseem and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements in Srinagar also paid homage to Zakir Musa and other martyrs. They said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs would not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.
