KARACHI:The Pakistani jewels market witnessed another big jump in gold prices as the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs1,400 per tola on Monday.
According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24 karats of pure gold reached Rs2,26,900 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat pure gold also increased by Rs1,200 to Rs1,94,530 per 10 grams in the local market.
Rates of 10 grams of gold of 22 karats have also increased and traded at Rs1,78,319 per 10 grams on the first day of the week.
Gold prices also increased in the international market by US$5 per ounce and traded at US$2,022 per ounce on Monday.
The rate of 24 karats fine silver also increased by Rs30 per tola and traded at Rs2,900 per tola while the 22 karats silver of 10 grams price increased by Rs25.72 and traded at Rs2,486.28 per 10 grams.
