KARACHI: Gold prices on Thursday reached a historic peak in Pakistan after increasing its rates in the international market.

According to a report, the rate of 24-karat fine gold has increased by Rs1,150 to Rs1,62,750 per tola in the Karachi jewelry market.

The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs1,329 to Rs1,39,532 while the rate of gold fell by $100 to $1,780 per ounce in the global market.

Rates of pure silver of 24 karats also increased by Rs30 per tola to Rs1,770 per tola in the local market.
