Gold prices across Pakistan today reached unprecedented levels, with the cost of one tola of 24-karat gold jumping by Rs3,000 to Rs307,000.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association released figures showing significant increases in gold rates. The price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,571, now standing at Rs263,203. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased by Rs2,359, setting a new price of Rs241,278.

On the international market, gold prices also climbed, with an increase of $28, now priced at $2,921 per ounce.

The rise in precious metals isn’t limited to gold as silver prices also surged. A tola of 24-karat silver is now Rs3,400, after a rise of Rs31, while 10 grams of the same metal jumped by Rs26 to Rs2,914. International silver prices saw a modest increase of $0.30, reaching $32.65 per ounce.

The association provided this data amid a global trend of rising precious metal values, reflecting broader economic factors.
