Islamabad, December 22, 2020 (PPI-OT): Adviser to the Prime Minister on Accountability, Barrister Shahzad Akbar says the government is fulfilling all legal formalities to bring Nawaz Sharif, back to Pakistan. In an interview with a private television channel, he said the government has approached the Secretary Home of UK in this regard.
The Adviser said PML-N leaders ruled the country for three decades and the NAB is asking them about ill-gotten money and assets possessed by Sharif family. Responding to question about negative agenda adopted by Pakistan Democratic Movement, he said we are trying to settle the political matters with sagacity and wisdom.
To a question about Senate elections with open balloting, Shahzad Akbar said the apex court’s advisory opinion will be sought in this regard and that the purpose of open balloting is to discourage ‘horse trading’ in the upcoming elections.
