Government taking concrete steps for the promotion of tourism, NA informed 

Islamabad, November 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly was informed that the government is taking concrete steps for the promotion of tourism in the country. Responding to a question during the Question Hour in the House today [Monday], Parliamentary Secretary of Interior Shaukat Ali said new tourist sites have been identified in the Federal Capital to turn the historical places of Islamabad into international tourist points. He said that these new tourist points will help attract foreign tourists in the country. The House today passed seven bills.

These include; “The Protection of Journalists and Media Professionals Bill, 2021”, “The Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace (Amendment) Bill, 2021”, “The National Commission on the Rights of Child (Amendment) Bill, 2021”, “The Juvenile Justice System (Amendment) Bill, 2021”, “The Islamabad Capital Territory Child Protection (Amendment) Bill, 2021”, “[The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021 and National Accountability (Amendment) Bill, 2021.The House will now meet again tomorrow at 5 p.m.

Two Ordinances were laid before the House.

These include; the National Accountability (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 and the National Accountability (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2021.Minister for Law and Justice, Muhammad Farogh Naseem laid the Ordinances. The House also referred the two bills for consideration and passage at the Joint sitting of the Parliament. The House will now meet again tomorrow at 5 p.m.
