Safety kits demands for health workers

Lahore:Deputy Chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has strongly condemned the government’s failure to provide safety kits and other basic facilities to the doctors, nurses and other medical staff.

In a statement here on Saturday, he said that in the beginning, the government had lauded the services of the medics but now they were being subjected to lathi-charge. He said that the doctors, the other medical staff besides the security personnel deserved special attention of the authorities in the prevailing situation. He also demanded release of all arrested doctors.

Liaqat Baloch said that the lock down had practically ended after different official announcements and public activity as at its peak all around. He further said that the Prime Minister had himself sabotaged the objectives of lock down. He said that curbs on collective prayers at mosques especially during the holy month of Ramazan would further the government’s position. He said that the Ulema, Khatibs and other religious scholars would not allow chaos in the society He urged the federal and provincial government to correct their direction.
