Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has approved the amendment bill in the Criminal Prosecution Act, which has now come into immediate effect. The Sindh Criminal Prosecution Service (Amendment) Act 2025, recently passed by the Sindh Assembly, introduces significant changes to the prosecution service.

Under the newly enacted amendment, all prosecutors and other members are required to operate under the control and supervision of the Prosecutor General, with oversight by the government.
