Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori arrived in Shah Faisal Colony for his eighth Sehri, where he received a warm welcome from local residents. He engaged with the people, listened to their concerns, and took selfies with them before sharing Sehri at a local hotel.
According to a statement by Sindh Governor House today, speaking to the media afterward, he expressed his commitment to remaining close to the public, stating that interacting with citizens and addressing their issues has earned him the title of a “People’s Governor.”
He announced that 50,000 students are currently receiving IT training at Governor House, and youth from Shah Faisal Colony can now enroll in IT courses without an entry test. He also shared that 950,000 ration bags have been distributed, and arrangements have been made for Iftar dinners for one million people. Every night, a lucky draw awards an Umrah ticket and a residential plot.
Addressing the residents, he assured them that his doors are always open. “If anyone troubles you, tell them your brother is the Governor. For the elderly, I am your son,” he remarked. He reaffirmed his stance on actively advocating for public rights and addressing Karachi’s challenges.
The Governor highlighted the efforts of the Prime Minister in improving the national economy, expressing confidence that once economic stability is achieved, its benefits will reach the people.
In response to a media question, he noted that investments from Saudi Arabia, Trkiye, China, UAE, and other nations are contributing to economic strengthening.
Clarifying his stance on relations with the Sindh government, he stated, “I have no conflict with the Sindh government. They should fulfill their responsibilities accordingly.”
