Governor Sindh reviews National Stadium’s renovation work

Karachi, February 26, 2018 (PPI-OT): Sindh Governor Mohammad Zubair visited the National Stadium Karachi to review the progress of ongoing development work. On the occasion, National Logistics Cell (NLC) officials gave detailed briefing to the governor about the ongoing development works. They said that the renovation work was in its final stage, which would complete in few days. NLC officials said the work had been carried out in accordance with the international standards and best facilities would be ensured to players.

The governor told media after reviewing the arrangement that they had awaited for nine long years for the revival of international cricket in Karachi. “The PSL final match to be held in Karachi is a great news for cricket fans as well as for Karachiites.” He added that PSL was the pride of Pakistan. “We have assured International Cricket Council (ICC) officials of providing fool proof security to the international players.”

In response to a question, Governor Sindh said that PSL final match was part of Karachi’s rehabilitation program. He said mutual coordination among PCB, NLC and Karachi Cricket Association is beneficial. Brigadier Shoaib Ahmad of NLC, former test players Salahuddin (Salloo) and Iqbal Qasim, Pakistan Cricket Board’s representative Arshad Khan were also present.
