Govt committed to ensure provision of healthcare facilities: Yasmin

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Minister for Health, Yasmin Rashid visited the Gujranwala Medical Collage and under construction teaching hospital on Saturday.

Secretary Specialized Health and Medical Education, Punjab, Muhammad Aamer Jan also accompanied her. She chaired a meeting to review arrangements to make functional teaching hospital earliest and provision of necessary facilities in medical college.

Addressing the meeting, she said that maximum facilities would be provided to people associated with the medical profession. She said that the Punjab government was committed to ensure the provision of healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps.

She said that timely promotion of doctors would be ensured in the province enabling them to perform their duties satisfactory manners. The minister said that the Punjab government had allocated eleven billion rupees for providing treatment facilities to T.B and hepatitis patients and curing these diseases.
