ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has said the government is paying special attention on promotion of dairy industry for growth in GDP, food security and poverty alleviation.
Talking to a delegation from dairy industry here on Monday, he emphasized on developing the dairy industry on modern lines. The President stressed the need for promoting dairy industry for creating employment opportunities and earning foreign exchange reserves. He said dairy industry has played an important role in strengthening national economy.
Dr Arif Alvi said the people associated with dairy industry should be skilled and made aware of the modern techniques. The President assured the government’s cooperation to the producers and processors from the dairy industry for a favorable environment. He asked the stakeholders to prepare national strategy and future policy for promotion of the dairy sector.
