ISLAMABAD: The government will complete its constitutional term as it is the right of allied parties to complete the tenure in the government.

This was stated by Minister for Railways and PML-N leader, Khawaja Saad Rafique while addressing a news conference after a meeting of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and its allied parties held in Lahore on Tuesday.

Leaders of PDM constituent parties were also present in the press conference. He urged the masses to avoid speculation about the constitutional term of the government. The Minister said that recently held by-elections in Punjab were not the real parameter to assess the popularity of any party as PML-N got more votes as compared to 2018 general election.

Khawaja Saad Rafique urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to announce the decision of foreign funding case of PTI which has been pending since long. He said the country is facing economically default situation due to failed policies of Imran Khan. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and heads of all the allied parties, in which the overall political situation of the country was discussed.
