The district administration of Jhang, directive of Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhindar, has initiated an operation to eliminate encroachments in rural areas.

This operation is being conducted under the supervision of Chief Officer District Council Jhang, Mehr Muhammad Akram Bharwana, using heavy machinery.

A grand operation against encroachments is taking place indiscriminately in the markets and various locations of the rural areas. The district council team is carrying out operations daily with heavy machinery. Encroachment Inspector Iftikhar Ahmed Shah stated that encroachments are being removed in areas including Mandi Shah Jewna, Adda Chand Bharwana, and Mor Mandi, to widen the markets.

Prior to the operation, shopkeepers were issued notices to remove illegal encroachments. Now, shops of those who did not comply are being sealed, and fines are being imposed. The operation against encroachments will continue in phases.

Iftikhar Ahmed Shah further mentioned that eliminating the encroachment mafia is essential as they are hindering the district’s development. Encroachments were disrupting traffic flow, which necessitated this action.
