During a meeting chaired by former Chairman of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad and Speaker of Hamdard Shoora, Professor Niaz Irfan, participants discussed the topic ’26th Constitutional Amendment: An Overview.’

According to a Hamdard Foundation statement today, the event’s chief guest, senior advocate of Islamabad High Court, Abdul Rafi, emphasized that adopting a proportional representation system in assembly elections would help stabilize democracy and ensure balance among the state’s three pillars-legislature, judiciary, and executive. He provided a detailed review of amendments made to the 1973 Constitution.

Other members and speakers, including Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Naeem Akram Qureshi, Hakeem Basheer Bihari, Dr. Farhat Abbas, Muhammad Ayub Advocate, and Rana Muhammad Akram, also shared in-depth perspectives on the 26th Constitutional Amendment. Saadia Rashid, National President of Hamdard Shoora, along with Professor Niaz Irfan, thanked the members and observers for their participation.
